“Bintang Manis” means “sweet star” in Indonesian
The Bintang Manis is more than just a handbag – it is like a star in the evening sun of Bali: a handcrafted work of art from the Indonesian Ata tradition, which embodies the island’s attitude to life.
Its gentle star pattern, woven from natural Ata grass, gives it a special lightness – like the warm rays of sunshine while strolling along Seminyak's beach promenade.
The honey-brown bow closure adds a lovely touch to the white bag, making it a stylish, one-of-a-kind piece. Our Ata bag is entirely handcrafted by local artisans in Bali – fair, sustainable, and with a lot of heart.
For women who carry the sun in their hearts. For dreamers, globetrotters, beach goddesses—or simply for you. Whether with a flowing summer dress, a light tunic, or as the highlight of a city trip: Bintang Manis is your loving companion with Bali soul. 🌴✨

Thanks to the loving craftsmanship and the use of a variety of fabrics, each of our Bali bags is a unique fashion statement. The colorful lining made of traditional batik fabric makes each bag unique—no two patterns are alike.
Batik is an ancient art form for which Indonesia is famous worldwide. On September 30, 2009, it was officially recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Each Bali Bag combines style, craftsmanship and cultural heritage in a unique way.
Our Bali Bags are lovingly handcrafted in small family businesses in Bali. Through close, fair, and direct collaboration with our partners, we not only create unique products but also actively contribute to improving the quality of life of our artisans.
Each bag is not only a piece of Bali – but also a sign of lived appreciation.
Our Bali Bags are made from Ata grass – a wild-growing liana species native to the volcanic slopes of Bali and considered particularly robust and durable.
Because Ata grass grows back quickly, it is a particularly sustainable raw material that is ideal for handmade products.
After harvesting, the bags are sun-dried and then smoked over coconut shell fire to harden and preserve them – without any chemical additives.
Each bag is therefore not only unique, but also a genuine natural product with a minimal ecological footprint and a deep connection to Balinese culture and landscape.
